Last week was such a whirlwind! We officially have 101 pieces in this year. Submission week was a huge success! Thank you to all participants - it’s going to be yet another amazing display!

Scott Livingstone dropped his artwork off last week, and it has so many subtle details. The closer you look, the more beauty you’ll find in that rolling sky 🤍

He also brought along an invite to his upcoming solo show, Selected Memory, at ACWR & ArtSpeak Gallery.
The show officially opens today, and runs until the 29th. Hours are 11am - 5pm.

The reception is on Saturday, August 22nd from 1-5pm! Sending a big congrats to Scott!

Our new little friend started his journey making art. Although he prefers dancing and music, Gavin gave colouring a try, and wow, what a masterpiece! Very impressive for only 2 years old 🥳 He also showed us his impressive dance moves! Gavin has a top-notch shimmy shake lol!

He worked so hard on his colouring page and brought it by the gallery so he could get a loot bag, enter to win a stuffed animal, and meet Rozia on her birthday!

Let’s officially welcome Shirley Williams to the gallery today!
Shirley has been an incredible part of Windsor’s art community for many years. She has built quite the name for herself with persistent, consistent commitment to her craft, opening a gallery/studio space, and her involvement with many galleries, exhibitions, and charitable organizations.

Shirley has quite the following, and we are so honoured to share a wonderful curated selection of her paintings through the Nancy Johns Gallery. She has been coined as a “household name” by several clients who have seen her work on display with us. Others have mentioned we are so lucky to have her on the roster, and we feel the same ❤️

Joseph Butler won second place at this year’s Amherstburg Art Crawl Plein Air competition! He visited the gallery and told us all about his day of painting - so many more obstacles than you would think! Hunting out the best spot long before the event, then having to find a different spot because his spot was taken when he got there 😳, somehow finding parking, getting the painting done in time - and he actually made two pieces!
This competition is no joke! It takes dedication, strategy, and tons of talent to work on the fly with precision.

Saturday August 8th will be Rozia’s 4th birthday, and we love how much kids enjoy visiting her at the gallery. All kids who stop by on the 8th between 10-4 to drop off one of their finished colouring pages of Rozia, will get a loot bag and a chance to win their very own Rozia stuffed animal!
