“Strength and Kindness”
Acrylic on a 36” x 36” in a gallery wrapped canvas.

In Strength and Kindness, Melani Payumo paints a powerful metaphor of feminine duality- strength intertwined with tenderness.

The central figure, a woman poised and resolute, is flanked by two wings: on one side, the powerful span of a majestic eagle; on the other side, the gentle purity of a white dove. Together, they represent the dynamic balance within—- fierce resilience and quiet grace.

In her hand, she holds a chain linked to an anchor, symbolizing groundedness and inner fortitude. Yet this anchor is adorned with delicate blossoms, suggesting that even the forces that weigh us down can carry beauty, purpose and meaning. Above her the sun breaks through the heavy clouds casting a golden light that speaks of clarity, hope and spiritual emergence.

The painting rendered in acrylic, reflects Melani’s signature ethereal palette while introducing symbols of duality and rooted strength.

Strength and Kindness is a tribute to the layered nature of womanhood- a reminder that to be both anchored and soaring, fierce and soft, is not a contradiction but a wholeness.

Sharing with you the process of creating my latest piece.
Taking this moment of gratitude when an idea is born and creativity takes flight.
Thankful for the opportunity to create and the passion that fuels the process.

Providence II

My inspiration for this work is to draw the manifestation of abundance in life.

The full moon is representational of the opportunity to sit in the fullness of our lives and realize our potential.

It is also a powerful time to recommit ourselves to the projects and dreams we have set out to do and to the relationships that mean the most to us.

To know in our hearts that the source of inspiration is bountiful and overflowing.
