We are excited to be welcoming another new Artist to the ALO community, Elizabeth Beachlin.

She enjoys immersing herself in the diverse world of nature, such as finding interestingly-shaped trees and winding forest paths. She also creates portraits of animals as tiny as bugs and hummingbirds or as big as bears and moose.

“My artwork is colourful and abstract. I love to create paintings that make everyone happy!”

Come see Elizabeth’s colourful paintings at our fall show September 12 at the Jim Durrell Recreation Centre from 10-4.

Support local Artists, buy or rent original artwork.

We are excited to welcome another new Artist to Art Lending of Ottawa, Monique Bergevin.

Monique’s preferred style is described as figurative and abstract, sometimes mixing the two. She works in many mediums such as oil, ink, acrylic, watercolour and pastels.

Monique strives to convey the beauty of the moment through her art.

Come see her work for yourself on September 12 at the Jim Durrell recreation centre from 10am-4pm. Art for sale or rent.

CROATIA / CROATIE:
Size: 12x24 plus frame
Medium: Oil on canvas
During a trip to Orebic, Croatia, while walking on the beach I found myself mesmerized by the beauty of the night sky; it inspired this painting.

SO CALMING:
Size: 20x24 plus frame
Medium: Acrylic on canvas
The inspiration for this painting came from a wald in a trail near St-Siméon, Québec. A walk in nature can be therapeutic in our sometimes hectic schedule.

LEOPARD / LÉOPARD:
Size: 24x36 plus frame
Medium: Acrylic on canvas
Price: This majestic, proud and dangerous feline proved to be gentle as well as she raised her cubs. I”m also a mom... I can understand that! The inspiration for this painting came from my fascination for these beautiful felines.

Exciting News — My First Show with Art Lending of Ottawa!

I’m thrilled to share that I’ve joined Art Lending of Ottawa (ALO), a not‑for‑profit artists’ cooperative that makes original art accessible and affordable. Even better — I’ll be participating in my first ALO show on Saturday, September 12 at the Jim Durrell Recreation Centre in Ottawa.

The event features over forty local juried artists, and I’ll be exhibiting new artwork I’ve never shown publicly before — pieces I’ve been quietly developing and am excited to finally share.

Why Art Lending of Ottawa Is Special

ALO offers a flexible way to enjoy original art:

Rent any artwork for a minimum of three months.

Return it at the next show, continue renting, or rent‑to‑own — once rental fees equal the artwork’s price, it’s yours.

Refresh your home or office art every season without committing to a full purchase.

It’s an affordable way to live with art and see how it fits your space before deciding.

Event Details
Saturday, September 12, 2026
10:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Jim Durrell Recreation Centre, 1265 Walkley Road, Ottawa
Free admission, free parking, wheelchair accessible

I’m bringing some new, never‑before‑seen artworks available for rental, rent‑to‑own, or purchase. If you’ve been curious about adding original art to your home or workspace, this is a perfect chance to explore without pressure and maybe discover a piece that speaks to you.

P.S. For Business Owners

If you want to decorate your office, studio, clinic, or workspace, renting artwork through ALO can be a smart option. Because rental fees are considered an operating expense, many businesses may be able to deduct those costs — making it an affordable way to bring original art into your professional environment while supporting local artists.

Come browse beautiful work from local creators and enjoy a unique way of experiencing art. If you’d like a reminder closer to the date, just let me know.
