Built in 1891, this grand building first served as the official residence of the Lieutenant Governor of the North-West Territories. Restored to the period of Lieutenant Governor Amedee Forget, who was in office from 1898-1910, the museum gives you a glimpse of life at Government House at the turn of the 20th century. We feature engaging exhibits, art gallery, museum set in 1905, interpretive tours & 8.5 acres of beautiful Edwardian Gardens.

Join us for an indoor or outdoor school program at Government House!

✨ Indoors, learn about the interesting history of Government House, the Lieutenant Governor’s role, how life was back in 1905 at the beginning of Saskatchewan’s history as an official province and more.

🍃 Looking for something outdoors? Learn about the 8.5 acres of Edwardian Gardens, make a visit to the Saskatchewan Residential School Memorial, play some outdoor games and more!

Participate in a relaxing session of yoga on the historic lawn of Government House this weekend with Yoga in the Gardens! 🧘

🕰️ 9-10 a.m.
📍 Located on the north lawn at Government House

✅ This is a free drop-in session. No fee or registration required.

Your session will be led by yoga instructor Fran Switzer.

🧘 You just need to bring your yoga mat, a water bottle, bug spray and your best attitude.

All ages and yoga abilities are welcome for this experience.
