All are welcome to attend our monthly membership meetings and bring a guest! Founded in 1967, the Oshawa Art Association (OAA) has been a cornerstone of the local arts community for over five decades. Within its first year, the OAA grew to 150 members—and we’ve been going strong ever since! We meet on the second Wednesday of each month from September to June at 7 p.m. at the Arts Resource Centre i
n Oshawa. These meetings are open to both members and guests, featuring opportunities to connect, share ideas, and enjoy live demonstrations or presentations by talented local and national artists. The OAA hosts:
Workshops
An Annual Juried Art Exhibition
Spring & Fall Art Festivals
Art Crawls and Paint Battles
Participation in community events like the Peony Festival and Convergence
New for 2025: We were excited to launch our Mural & Art Walk Initiative, highlighting public art on the streets of the downtown heritage district of Oshawa. Whether you're an emerging or established artist, we invite you to drop in, get involved, and experience the creative energy of the OAA. We’re a friendly, inclusive group of artists making a difference in Durham Region’s cultural landscape. http://www.oshawaartassociation.com
