The third annual Multicultural Potluck on Mill Street will once again take place in downtown Almonte on Friday, June 26th, 2026!

Last year’s potluck brought more than 150 people together for a shared meal on Mill Street. This year promises even more family fun, delicious food, and live entertainment! The celebrations will include Indigenous performers, an Irish band, and a Ugandan dance troupe.

The Multicultural Potluck is organized by our friends at The Inclusion Project, in partnership with Mississippi Mills Bicycle Month and the Town of Mississippi Mills, with additional support from Local Immigration Partnership, Culture Connect, the Mississippi Masonic Lodge, Mississippi Mills All My Relations, and the Government of Canada.

The key feature of the Multicultural Potluck is friends and neighbours bringing their cultural dishes to share. Please spread the word! And sign up to bring your dish or volunteer at the link below (you can also bring your dish to the event and register it at the event itself): https://www.inclusionmm.org/potluck2026

Based in Gibsons, British Columbia, Ann-Marie Brown is a Canadian artist known for encaustic paintings that explore emotional and psychological states. “I think that the creative self is fundamentally analogue and needs to dance with the imperfections of the real world in order to create something of substance”, she says.

Her paintings have been published in numerous journals and featured in films. Works are held in private, public, and corporate collections including the Senvest Collection, the Women’s Art Museum of Canada (Edmonton), and the Encaustic Art Museum (Santa Fe).
