ꜰʀ | À quoi ressemble le temps quand il n’est pas dicté par un calendrier colonial? L’artiste Laurent Mbaah, la photographe Malkia Muritiri et Vanessa Minacapelli animent dans le cadre de l’exposition “An infinite woman” une série d’ateliers intimes: une réflexion sur la manière dont les personnes noires sont représentées à travers l’histoire et la construction collective d’autres récits. Dessin, écriture, conversation: chaque médium compte autant que l’autre. Les résultats donneront naissance à une œuvre collective et participative présentée dans l’exposition. Il reste 3 ateliers, inscrivez-vous via le lien dans la bio de .lo.

ɴʟ | Hoe ziet tijd eruit als ze niet door een koloniaal ritme wordt bepaald? Kunstenaar Laurent Mbaah, fotografe Malkia Muritiri en Vanessa Minacapelli leiden een reeks intieme ateliers in het kader van “An infinite woman”. Ze verkennen hoe zwarte mensen doorheen de geschiedenis zijn afgebeeld, en bouwen van binnenuit aan andere verhalen. Tekenen, schrijven, gesprek: elk medium telt evenveel. ᴇɴ | What does time look like when it’s not measured by a colonial calendar? Artist Laurent Mbaah, photographer Malkia Muritiri and Vanessa Minacapelli are leading a series of intimate workshops in the context of “An infinite woman”, exploring how Black people have been represented throughout history, and building other narratives from within. ᴇɴ | This weekend, the Belgian Pavilion opens at the 2026 Venice Biennale. Kanal is proud to be a partner of Miet Warlop's exhibition-performance It Never SSST. A space for collective despair and the ability to carry it. A seven-month performance of song, words, plaster and bodies. The performative exhibition will be restaged at Kanal in March 2027.

ɴʟ | Dit weekend opent het Belgische paviljoen op de Biënnale van Venetië 2026. Kanal is trots partner van Miet Warlop's performatieve tentoontstelling It Never SSST. Een ruimte voor collectieve despair én het dragen ervan. Een zeven maanden durende performance van zang, woorden, gips en lichamen. In maart 2027 komt de performatieve tentoonstelling naar Brussel.

ꜰʀ | Ce week-end, le pavillon belge ouvre à la Biennale de Venise 2026. Et Kanal est fier d'être partenaire de la performance-expostion It Never SSST de Miet Warlop. Un espace pour le désespoir collectif et la capacité de le porter. Une performance de sept mois mêlant chant, mots, plâtre et corps. L'exposition performative sera rejouée à Kanal en mars 2027.
