Those who worked at the steelworks in 1990 may remember the video news segment about John Lightfoot and his friend John Wilson. Their song about the earthquake is relevant, as they wrote it 36 years ago.

Muster Point was built in 1999, just before the steelworks closed, by the steelworkers and Julie Squire. Community groups are welcome to visit Muster Point, Memorial and Delprat's Cottage. Contact NIHA.
