NOISY HOUR with Andrew Tuttle and Darren Cross | Thursday, 29 October, 5 - 5.30pm

Join multi-instrumentalist composers and improvisers Andrew Tuttle and Darren Cross for our next NOISY HOUR! They will present songs from AT/DC, a debut duo album being released on the esteemed Room40's label 'Someone Good' in October 2026. Expect blended banjo and acoustic guitar motifs with digital synthesis, processed electronics and manipulated field recordings creating a body of work which is as melodic as it is adventurous.

Free, all welcome, no bookings required.

Expressions of Interest for the February 2027 edition of Lightbox Lane are now open.

We are looking for local artists, students and emerging creatives across painting, photography, digital art or mixed media to feature in Lismore's public outdoor gallery.

What selected artists receive:

- $560 artist fee (NAVA standard)
- Printing and installation fully covered by Lismore City Council
- Feature promo and an official launch event on 12 February 2027

If your work can be adapted for large-format print display, submit your concept via Lismore Your Say by 23 November 2026.

On now | Valerie Smith: 'There was always song – Yadabalair ', until November 22 in Gallery 5

Valerie Smith is a Widjabul Wia-bal and Arakwal woman born, raised and living in Lismore. She uses creativity to share her experiences from childhood through to motherhood and teaching. Smith’s art practice deepens and strengthens her connection to culture while guiding her through difficult experiences.

Our Term 4 After school art class for teens starts next Wednesday, 14 October.

Taking place each Wednesday afternoon during the school term from 4 - 5.30pm, teens have an opportunity to play with a variety of mediums and engage with the current exhibitions. It's a great way to make new friends and learn new skills.

All materials and light snacks are provided. For teens aged 13 to 17.

Tickets are $25 per class, or $210 for the whole term. Bookings are essential. Book now via the Upcoming programs link in our bio or on our website.

Sound Alchemy with Rohani Binti | Wednesday, 14 October, 5pm - 6pm

An invitation to slow down, settle the mind, open the senses and rest.

Rohani will create a layered soundscape using crystal singing bowls, gongs, chimes and planetary tuning forks, allowing waves of vibration to move through the space and be felt within the body.

Sound journeys are best experienced lying down. Please bring a yoga mat, cushion and blanket, and anything else that will help you feel comfortable and supported.

Rohani Binti is a Craniosacral Therapist, sound alchemist, mother and multidisciplinary artist whose work moves between the worlds of body, sound, frequency and visual art. Her practice is informed by a deep curiosity about the body as a sensing, fluid and responsive landscape, and the ways sound and vibration can invite us into a different relationship with ourselves.

School holiday workshop: Collage Fabric Faces | Wednesday 7 October, 10am - 12pm

Join educator Lisa Towse for a crafty school holiday workshop for kids aged 8 - 14. Get ready to mix, layer, stitch and create a face like no other! 🪡

In this colourful, hands-on workshop, kids will use vibrant fabric scraps to create a bold and expressive portrait. It could be a self-portrait, a family member, a favourite character, or someone completely made up; the possibilities are endless. All materials are provided. No sewing experience needed; just bring your imagination!

Parents are welcome to attend, or kids may participate on their own.
