What a moon 🌒 to choose to do our Luna Rite on. I had chosen the August moon because the Pisces moon usually falls in September & as a Sun in Pisces I tend to be going through ALOT at that time…. And yup- I did it again. I was fated to do big work while going through ALOT OF S**T! Next time I’ll know to look out for the sneaky pisces moon (when the sun is in virgo! Duh! 🙄 ) on the tail end of August!!

This ritual will be a potent catalyst for bringing about great change and transformation.

Partial Lunar Eclipse — August 28th, 2026

This is not a gentle Full Moon.

This is the moment the shadow nearly takes everything.

During the early hours of 28th August in the UK, the Moon will pass deep into Earth’s shadow. Around 93% of her diameter will enter the umbra, obscuring roughly 96% of her surface and leaving only a narrow edge untouched.

Not total.

Close enough to turn the familiar into something unsettling.

As the shadow spreads, much of the Moon may darken into bruised red, burnt copper and ash. One small crescent will remain illuminated, suspended beside a lunar face almost entirely consumed.

That is the message of this eclipse:

Even the smallest truth becomes impossible to ignore when everything around it falls into shadow.

In witchcraft, lunar eclipses are thresholds. They reveal where an ending has already begun, where emotional patterns have become too heavy to carry and where something hidden is demanding acknowledgement.

Under this eclipse:

• Buried emotions rise.
• False attachments weaken.
• Unfinished cycles demand closure.
• Intuition speaks through what unsettles you.

This is not a manifestation moon. This is a release moon.

The eclipse falls beneath the Pisces Full Moon, stirring dreams, grief, intuition, illusion and the invisible ties we struggle to explain. What you have romanticised may become clear. What you have avoided may enter your dreams. What you have outgrown may suddenly feel unbearable.

Witches know:

Not every ending arrives as a door slamming.

Some arrive as the quiet realisation that you can no longer return to who you were.

You do not need to force a ritual. Stand beneath the changing Moon. Ask what you are still trying to save.

Notice what the darkness reveals.

Write down the truth you have been softening to make it easier to live with.

The eclipse is not here to punish you.

It is here to show you what has already reached its ending.
