As we get behind our mighty Dockers ⚓ ahead of tonight's Derby, here's a fantastic throwback from the Fremantle Prison Research Library archives.

Dated 30 March 1996: This article looks back at the 1996 Western Derby between the Fremantle Dockers and the West Coast Eagles.

The photo features the Dockers' original mascot - Grinder and Fremantle players - Scott Chisholm & David Hynes, running through our iconic Main Cell Block.

What a great snapshot of local sporting history and a reminder of the long-standing connection between Fremantle Prison and the Fremantle community. ⚓💜🏉
