🌊 NEW IN THE GALLERY | LEON HOLMES 🎨
We’re delighted to have a beautiful selection of original works by Leon Holmes now available at Finishing Touch Gallery.
Capturing the unmistakable beauty of Rottnest Island, Leon’s expressive brushwork brings the coastline to life — brilliant turquoise water, rugged limestone, sheltered bays, boats bobbing offshore and, of course, the iconic lighthouse.
Featured here are Basin Impression, Deep Blues, Salmon Bay, Soft Light and The Penthouse — each with its own mood and perspective on one of WA’s most loved places.
These are wonderfully textured, atmospheric paintings that really need to be seen in person to appreciate the movement and detail in Leon’s brushwork.

The Basin, Wadjemup / Rottnest Island — Ian Acott
There’s something instantly recognisable about the crystal-clear waters of The Basin. 💙🌊
In this striking original ink drawing, Ian Acott captures one of Wadjemup / Rottnest Island’s most loved swimming spots, combining his extraordinary fine-line detail with subtle washes of turquoise, blue and green through the water.
The contrast between the intricate black ink work and those beautiful hints of colour draws your eye straight into the sheltered bay — from the rocky shoreline and swimmers in the shallows to the familiar pines overlooking the coast.
