The winner of the 2026 Annual Studio Exhibition - People’s Choice Prize is Lachie Vild, with his plaster work ‘Accidental Self-Portrait’. Congratulations Lachie!

The Annual Studio Exhibition has now closed. Congratulations to all our students on such a high quality exhibition.

The Director’s Choice selection of the Exhibition continues in Clara Street Gallery until Friday 23 October.

We are still on a high from our fabulous Annual Studio Exhibition which opened on Saturday afternoon! A buzzy and happy crowd enjoyed viewing the 90 sculptures on display by TBSSS students and teachers. It was wonderful to see so many proud and smiling faces. We feel so lucky to have such a beautiful community! Congratulations to all involved and big thanks to all our volunteers, teachers and staff for another amazing year of creativity ❤️

Congratulations to TBSSS student Alex McGlade who was the Director’s Choice Winner for the 2026 Annual Studio Exhibition with his plaster sculpture ‘Mother and Child’ (picture no.1).

We would also like to congratulate TBSSS student Liz Scott who received the 2026 Highly Commended Prize with her alabaster sculpture ‘Beryllus’ (picture no.2).

Lastly, on Saturday we announced a new prize for 2026, the Emerging Sculptor Prize which recognises an outstanding work by a student who has been studying sculpture at TBSSS for less than 12 months. This prize was awarded to Jem Cresswell with his marble sculpture ‘kindling’ (picture no.3).

We extend our congratulations to all our students who are exhibiting in the 2026 Annual Studio Exhibition and thank our amazing volunteers and teachers for all their hard work in putting this wonderful, high quality show together.

The People’s Choice Award will be announced on Wednesday evening.

The exhibition is on show now 10am – 2pm until Wednesday 30 Sep.
