The Historic Port of Echuca precinct is an authentic working steam port, home to Australia’s largest fleet of steam-driven paddlesteamers. Although its major commodity has changed from wool to people, Port of Echuca still operates much the same as it did in the 1860s, with our shipwrights and steam engineers providing a vital role in the Port's operations today, just as they would have in the late 1800s.

Built in 1866, PS Adelaide holds a special place in Echuca’s paddlesteamer history. This Saturday, join us as we celebrate her 160th anniversary and her enduring connection to the Murray River.

We still have fun things to do though, pop in for a movie, a paddlesteamer cruise or just to have a look around.

The wharf feels a little different after dark… 👀
