This stunning felted rooster by Anna Flynn found its forever home on the opening night of our Animal Art Exhibition.

Created entirely using the art of felting, this beautiful work is full of texture, colour, and personality! Anna's skill is evident in every detail, from the rooster's flowing white feathers to the vibrant, swirling colours of its magnificent tail.

Felting is a meticulous process that transforms wool fibres into artwork through layering and shaping, making each piece completely unique.

Congratulations to Anna on the sale of this striking work, and thank you to the collector who recognised its beauty and craftsmanship.

'I See You' by Lisa Wilkinson

A wolf's gaze is impossible to ignore. In I See You, Lisa Wilkinson captures not only the beauty of this magnificent creature but also its quiet dignity, strength and spirit.

This powerful work was inspired by the shocking case in Wyoming where a hunter, Cody Roberts, received 18 months' probation, a $1,000 fine, and hunting restrictions after parading an injured wolf through a rural bar before killing it. The case sparked outrage around the world and raised difficult questions about how wildlife is treated and protected.

Lisa's stunning portrait reminds us that wolves are not symbols to be feared, but intelligent, social animals deserving of respect.

To our beautiful Fuzion and broader community,

This is not a post I ever in my wildest imagination would I thought I would have to write …

Many of you may have heard about the proposed long-term road closure planned directly outside our café as part of the unfortunate deconstruction of the water tower due to safety concerns.

At this stage, we have serious concerns about the impact this may have not only on our business, neighbouring businesses, but also on our staff, customers, neighbouring residents, accessibility, safety, parking, dust, noise. We are worried about the impact on the overall atmosphere that so many of you love about visiting us. Not to forget to mention the iconic nature of the structure itself.
Like many small businesses, we work incredibly hard behind the scenes every single day. The possibility of a prolonged closure affecting access to the café is honestly something that has caused significant stress and uncertainty for us.
We understand the reasons surrounding the safety concerns and the need for action. However, we also believe small businesses deserve to be properly considered, protected, and supported when decisions of this scale are made.
Right now, we are actively seeking answers around:
• pedestrian access
• dust, silica dust and health concerns
• parking impacts
• signage and visibility during works
• support for staff
Most importantly, we are asking for our community’s support.
If you love our café and want to help us get through what may be a very difficult period, there are a few simple but powerful ways you can help:
