New Work in Customs House Gallery!

We are delighted to showcase new work by local artist Heather Wellington.

Heather creates beautifully layered mixed-media collages using collected pieces of nostalgia including vintage fabrics, postcards, photographs and treasured ephemera. Each work tells a story, bringing together fragments of the past in a unique and captivating way.

Heather also incorporates embroidery into her art, carefully stitching and embellishing pieces to create images inspired by the Australian landscape. The result is a wonderful blend of texture, memory and creativity that invites viewers to look a little closer.
