GALLERY 1 // THE DECLUTTER COLLECTION // SUZANNE CRONIN.....
We’re so sad to see this exhibition come to an end. Unique, intriguing, and deeply compelling, every piece has told a story - some quite literally through the beautifully crafted Morse code accessories Suzanne has created.

It has been a joy to share this collection and watch visitors connect with the works in their own way. Here are a few of our favourite pieces from the exhibition.

EASTER HOURS | CLOSING FRIDAY TO WEDNESDAY..........
We’re taking a short pause over the Easter weekend 🐣✨

While our doors will be closed, we’ll still be busy behind the scenes - hanging the Rotary Easter Exhibition in Drysdale on Good Friday, as we do each year. It’s shaping up to be another fantastic exhibition, and we hope you’ll take the time to head along and enjoy it. It’s always well worth the trip to see this great collection of local artists.

Artisans will be back open and ready to welcome you again on Wednesday the 8th April.

In the meantime, we hope you can carve out a moment for yourself to slow down and get creative. Whether it’s sketching, painting, writing, building, or simply letting your mind wander - make space for something artistic this weekend. Your brain will thank you for it.

Happy Easter, and see you soon 💛.........

This has been such a well received exhibition and there are many red dots across the collection - some pieces are still available however, including this stunning picture of rhinos drinking. It is a truly eye catching piece and one that would look wonderful on any wall.

Medium - Acrylic on canvas
Price - $400

FOYER GALLERY // ATLAS OF AFFECTION // GILLIAN TURNER....
As part of Atlas of Affection at Artisans, we’re proud to share two powerful works by Gillian Turner that explore love through memory, respect and artistic trust.

Reni is a tender tribute to Gillian’s 96-year-old mother. Created during special afternoons of tea, conversation and drawing at her aged care home in Drysdale, the work reflects on a remarkable life - from treasured childhood memories and wartime nursing in London, to meeting her “forever man,” sewing her own wedding dress, and embracing the coast near Point Lonsdale as her gateway to Australia. It is a moving act of love and remembrance.

Zenta honours the deep respect between artist and life model. A regular and much-valued model locally, Zenta inspired drawings built on trust, poise and grace - a reminder that life drawing remains a vital and respected part of contemporary practice.

Pop into the Foyer Gallery and experience these heartfelt works for yourself - the exhibition ends 23rd February.

Open daily (except Tuesday) 9am–4pm | 1471–1479 Portarlington Road, Curlewis....

FOYER GALLERY // ATLAS OF AFFECTION // KAZ LEONG....
We’re honoured to share Family Love, a deeply personal and moving photograph by Kaz Leong, featured in our Atlas of Affection exhibition at Artisans.

In this powerful image, Kaz captures her beautiful “sister in life,” Chitra, holding her newborn daughter Tammilina, surrounded by the love and strength of her supportive sisters - and the photographer herself. It’s an intimate portrait of tenderness, trust and chosen family.

Seven years ago, during a three-month art residency in Penang, Kaz found not only creative inspiration but lifelong connection. Volunteering as a photographer for Penang Hospice, she met Chitra, the hospice manager. From that meeting grew a bond rooted in mutual trust, compassion and deep care; a relationship they now lovingly describe as being “sisters in life.”

They remain close to this day, and Kaz is proudly “Aussie Aunty” to little Tammi.

Kaz also accepts commission photography, specialising in family portraits with a particular focus on showcasing women - their strength, connection, resilience and tenderness. If you’re looking to capture your own story of love and family, her thoughtful and expressive approach creates images that feel both powerful and deeply personal. 💛

We are heading into the final weekend of this exhibition, so why not pop down and explore this and the other loveingly created pieces in the Foyer. Artisans is open every day except Tuesday (9am - 4pm) | 1471-1479 Portarlington Road, Curlewis....

GALLERY 1 // IMPRESSIONS OF NAMIBIA // ROBYN PUGH....
One of the things that we have really enjoyed about this exhibition is the diversity of the mediums Robyn has used to capture her trip. In particular the use of pen and ink to create these negative space images which perfectly illustrate the complex and varied horn of the antelope species which roam the Namib Desert.

Medium - Pen and ink
Price - $450
