At Merryl's we offer glass fusing workshops. Glass fusing involves firing glass in a kiln until it reaches a temperature that the glass melts and melds (fuses) together. There are 3 basic levels of glass fusing: full fusing, when the glass melds completely into one; tack fusing when the glass looks like it is tacked together, and slumping, when the glass slumps into the shape of the mould that it is sitting on. Looking for creative activities for kids in Melbourne? At this workshop, kids will have a great experience making a mosaic and taking their creations home. It's perfect for casual drop-in sessions for kids, or wonderful for an adult/child experience where you can make your pieces side by side.
This is a fun, creative and hands-on experience for participants seven years and older where you create a mosaic from beginning to end and take it home. All participants are fully supported and we provide assistance and advice to ensure that everyone creates a mosaic that they are proud of.
