Get your hands dirty and create something completely unexpected.

Join us at Artz Academy this Sunday for a full-day Sculptural Workshop exploring positive and negative approaches to sculpture.

You can take your work in one of two directions.

Positive: Create a realistic sculptural representation, such as an animal, a hand or another recognisable subject.

Negative: Throw reality out the window. Take an everyday object, plant or form and give it unexpected human qualities. Eyes, teeth, fingers, faces or strange features. Turn something familiar into something completely new.

This workshop is about experimenting, building, problem-solving and seeing where your imagination takes you. You do not need previous sculpting experience.

Sunday 11 October
11:00 am to 5:00 pm
Artz Academy
Unit 3, 13 Corporate Place, Hillcrest QLD 4118

$95 per person

Your workshop includes:
• All art materials
• Lunch
• Snacks
• Six hours of guided creative time
• Your own sculptural artwork to take home

Come with an idea or arrive with absolutely no idea at all. We’ll help you develop your concept and turn it into something three-dimensional, weird, wonderful or beautifully realistic.

Places are limited, so book your spot and spend your Sunday making something completely different.

As an extension on our last class having fun with tints and shades with acrylic painting. We are exploring portraiture in watercolours and inks this week. Once you have finished your acrylic painting. You will begin a portrait of someone you know, love or adore. That can be someone in your life, your past or a personality you have an interest in painting.
