There’s something wonderfully comforting about knitting.

The gentle rhythm of the needles. Watching each stitch build upon the last. A warm drink nearby and good conversation shared around the table.

This week at Stitch’N’Sip, you’re invited to enjoy a relaxing creative morning while learning the timeless art of knitting in a welcoming and supportive community environment.

The world is full of chaotic movement, noise, colour, structure, and rhythm.

Your artistic child can learn how to transform that complexity into balance, harmony, and bold creative expression through simple shapes, lines, and colour.
This week in our Artz After School Program, your young artist will explore the De Stijl movement through artists like Piet Mondrian and learn how abstraction can turn everyday inspiration into powerful modern art.

🖌️ Learn painting and composition techniques
⬛ Explore line, balance, shape, rhythm, and colour relationships
🎨 Create bold abstract artworks inspired by the ideas of Piet Mondrian and Neoplasticism
✨ Build focus, creativity, confidence, and artistic expression in a calm and supportive environment

Through simplified forms and strong colour choices, students will discover how artists communicate emotion, movement, structure, and harmony without needing realism.

Horizon Community Services is led by Elser Cartabio and his team, who are also a part of Access Logan Inc, working with and along side of Artz Academy and Ranking Australia, D&D with Rhi, and CKP Creative Digital Solutions, and other members of Access to create Community Enrichment Programs accessed by the Logan Community. These programs are inclusive, and open to all. So please come down and say hello at Unit 3, 13 Corporate Place HIllcrest. We are proud to ba a part of such an incredible group of people!
