Children actually show us how it’s done all the time:
They come together with different languages, ideas, feelings, and experiences — and use them to create something new together. They find playful ways to communicate with one another, even without many words.
At ZOOM Children’s Museum, it’s always wonderful to see how naturally this happens.
With her multilingual perspective, our intern Günel pointed this out right away and described it so beautifully: Connection often arises where people meet with openness — and above all, curiosity.
On today’s International Museum Day, under the ICOM motto “Museums Uniting a Divided World” to mark its 80th anniversary, we are celebrating exactly that — as well as every day of the year — and we´re happy to see you join us!

Kinder machen es uns eigentlich ständig vor:
Sie treffen mit unterschiedlichen Sprachen, Ideen, Gefühlen und Erfahrungen aufeinander — und schaffen daraus gemeinsam etwas Neues. Sie finden spielerisch Wege, miteinander zu kommunizieren, auch ohne viele Worte.
Im ZOOM Kindermuseum ist es jedes Mal aufs Neue schön zu beobachten, wie selbstverständlich das passiert.
Gerade mit ihrem Gespür für Mehrsprachigkeit, hat unsere Praktikantin Günel dies sofort wahrgenommen und beschrieb es so schön: dass Verbindung oft dort entsteht, wo Menschen einander offen — und vor allem neugierig — begegnen.
Zum heutigen International Museum Day unter dem ICOM-Motto anlässlich seines 80-jährigen Jubiläums „Museums Uniting a Divided World“ feiern wir genau das – wie auch jeden Tag im Jahr – und freuen uns, wenn ihr weiterhin mit dabei seid!
