🎨 THE GODS OF ANTISAMOS

On the shores of Kefalonia, where ancient Sami meets the turquoise waters facing mythical Ithaca, history and mythology become one.

Across the sea lies the legendary homeland of Odysseus. Above Antisamos, the ruins of an ancient Greek city still stand as silent witnesses to vanished civilisations.

It was here, on Antisamos Beach, that a rock became the inspiration for my painting.

Shaped by time and surrounded by the Ionian Sea, it seemed to hold the memory of ancient gods, forgotten kingdoms and stories carried by the waves.

Perhaps the gods never abandoned these shores. Perhaps they simply became part of the landscape.

The gods may be forgotten. The stones remember.

Greece has always been a profound source of inspiration for me. There is something magical in its air, its light and its waters. Only after spending more time there did I truly begin to understand why Greek mythology was born in this extraordinary landscape.

🎨 DIE GÖTTER VON ANTISAMOS

An den Küsten Kefalonias, wo das antike Sami auf das türkisfarbene Wasser mit Blick auf das sagenumwobene Ithaka trifft, verschmelzen Geschichte und Mythologie miteinander.

Auf der anderen Seite des Meeres liegt die legendäre Heimat des Odysseus. Oberhalb von Antisamos stehen noch heute die Ruinen einer antiken griechischen Stadt – stille Zeugen längst vergangener Zivilisationen.

Hier, am Strand von Antisamos, wurde ein Felsen zur Inspiration für mein Gemälde.

Von der Zeit geformt und vom Ionischen Meer umgeben, schien er die Erinnerung an antike Götter, vergessene Königreiche und Geschichten zu bewahren, die von den Wellen weitergetragen werden.

Vielleicht haben die Götter diese Küsten niemals verlassen. Vielleicht sind sie einfach ein Teil der Landschaft geworden.

Die Götter mögen vergessen sein. Die Steine erinnern sich.

Griechenland ist für mich seit jeher eine tiefgreifende Inspirationsquelle. Es liegt etwas Magisches in der Luft, im Licht und im Wasser. Erst nachdem ich mehr Zeit dort verbracht hatte, begann ich wirklich zu verstehen, warum gerade in dieser außergewöhnlichen Landschaft die griechische Mythologie entstanden ist.

❤️ Dieses Gemälde entstand während eines wunderschönen Urlaubs mit meinem Ehepartner – einer Zeit voller Glück, Liebe und unvergesslicher Erinnerungen.

🎨 A NEW CREATIVE CHAPTER BEGINS! 🌿

From November 2026, while my gallery undergoes major structural renovations, my painting studio will temporarily move to the beautiful Otto Wagner Areal – WEST OWA in Vienna.

The construction of Vienna’s new subway interchange beneath the gallery building has caused structural damage, making extensive renovation work necessary. If everything goes according to plan, I look forward to reopening Bella Volen Gallery once the reconstruction is complete.

In the meantime, I’m excited to become part of the wonderful art community at WEST OWA and to enjoy painting in a peaceful, green environment surrounded by nature, fresh air and new inspiration.

🎨 EIN NEUES KREATIVES KAPITEL BEGINNT! 🌿

Ab November 2026 zieht mein Malatelier während der umfangreichen statischen Sanierungsarbeiten an meinem Galeriegebäude vorübergehend auf das wunderschöne Otto Wagner Areal – WEST OWA in Wien.

Durch die Bauarbeiten am neuen Wiener U-Bahn-Knotenpunkt unter dem Galeriegebäude sind statische Schäden entstanden, die eine umfassende Sanierung notwendig machen. Wenn alles nach Plan verläuft, freue ich mich darauf, die Bella Volen Galerie nach Abschluss der Sanierungsarbeiten wiederzueröffnen.

In der Zwischenzeit freue ich mich sehr darauf, Teil der wunderbaren Kunstgemeinschaft am WEST OWA zu werden und in einer ruhigen, grünen Umgebung, umgeben von Natur, frischer Luft und neuer Inspiration, zu malen.

Ambition and success are not always quiet, disciplined, or predictable. Sometimes ambition is wild, colourful, irrational, delusional, and gloriously stubborn.

The Capricorn was never meant to remain on level ground. Its nature is to challenge gravity, find a foothold where none seems possible, and turn obstacles into opportunities. Its monumental horn becomes a fountain of colour — a collision between ancient instinct and bold ideas. Structure meets chaos. Determination meets playfulness.

The familiar rules of success dissolve into something far more personal. Because climbing is not necessarily about reaching the top. It is about refusing to let the landscape define your limits.
Mountains are not obstacles. They are invitations.

Born to climb. Not to conform. Not to fit in. Not to be told what to do and how to live.

The ancient tree growing within its horns represents a vision taking root, born out of intrinsic motivation, shaped by experience, resistance, learning from failure, and persistence.
Not every path exists before we walk it.
Sometimes, we have to create it.
Keep building.

I’m currently publishing all workshop dates until the end of the year.

Here is the overview of my regular workshop program, starting in August.

At the moment, all events can be found and booked via my Eventbrite profile or through the links in my Facebook Linktree.

My new online shop and website will be launching soon. I’ll share them as soon as they are online.

All workshops can also be booked as private events, company team events, birthday celebrations, or creative gatherings with friends and family.
