Born with African roots in Cape Verde, Benin, and Senegal, Anastasie Akibode is a French artist whose multicultural background fuels her pursuit of a universal artistic framework. Her work is deeply influenced by her exposure to diverse cultures, allowing her to create art that resonates across borders. Originally an electrical engineer, Anastasie spent years working at the corporate level in leading companies. However, her move to Dubai in 2005 sparked a transformation—she embraced her passion for art, inspired by the region's beauty and spirit. Her artistic journey has been recognized globally. In 2013, she was awarded by the Dubai Art Center and later honed her skills at Tashkeel in Dubai, the Beaux-Arts in Paris, and the Manatee Art Centre in Florida. She has been featured in prestigious art catalogues and newspapers. In April 2021, Anastasie held her first solo exhibition, ‘Artistic Wired Energies,’ at the Alliance Française Dubai. In 2022, she represented Cape Verde in the Cabo Verde and Angola Pavilion at EXPO 2020, showcasing her distinctive artistic vision. Beyond art, Anastasie is a passionate public speaker and a recognized Toastmasters leader. As the President of a Toastmasters Club in Dubai, she has been awarded for her speeches and leadership. Her dynamic stage presence has made her a sought-after MC, hosting major events such as the Women’s Pavilion at EXPO 2020. With a unique blend of artistry, eloquence, and cultural depth, Anastasie Akibode continues to inspire through both visual expression and powerful storytelling.
