To all our valued friends and clients — THANK YOU for your incredible support.

After 3½ years, The Art Gallery @ ROOT 44 had to close its physical gallery when the ROOT 44 Market unexpectedly closed at the end of June — without a single day’s notice to us.

This was completely out of our hands and, quite frankly, devastating to us.

A few years ago we started with an empty space and built it into one of South Africa’s landmark galleries, showcasing more than 1200 original artworks. With a growing international clientele we established ourselves as one of Africa’s leading Art Galleries, recognised for the exceptional quality of our art.

There is one message we want to make very clear:

THE ROOT 44 MARKET CLOSED.
OUR BUSINESS DID NOT.

It is challenging, but we are still here, 100% operational and available to all our clients.

We are actively searching for a new home for our flagship gallery and cannot wait to welcome you through our doors again. We will announce our new address as soon as we have found the right home.

In the meantime, The Art Gallery @ Simonsvlei remains open, and we continue doing business online and directly with our clients.
