🌠 What a night! Nine years running, Ann Nurock returned to deliver her much-anticipated presentation to a full house — and she did not disappoint.
Hosted in collaboration with SAFIM Art Collaborative, Ann brought her annual global trend analysis straight from the 2026 Cannes Lions Awards, digging into the ongoing battle between AI and human creativity. Her verdict? In a world of AI and machines, Cannes proved that humans still matter — creativity is fighting back.

Yesterday afternoon, the SAJM & the Jacob Gitlin Library hosted a wonderful book launch for "𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑻𝒓𝒂𝒗𝒆𝒍𝒍𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑹𝒂𝒃𝒃𝒊 – 𝑱𝒐𝒖𝒓𝒏𝒆𝒚𝒔 𝑪𝒐𝒏𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒖𝒆𝒅" by Rabbi Moshe Silberhaft.

Rabbi Silberhaft was in conversation with Emeritus Associate Professor Richard Mendelsohn, sharing stories and reflections from his continued journeys serving Jewish communities across Southern Africa.

Last evening the museum hosted a private function to thank all those who contributed to the museum’s 𝙋𝙖𝙡𝙢 𝙎𝙩𝙪𝙙𝙞𝙤𝙨: 𝙒𝙤𝙡𝙛 𝙆𝙞𝙗𝙚𝙡 / 𝙇𝙞𝙥𝙥𝙮 𝙇𝙞𝙥𝙨𝙝𝙞𝙩𝙯 exhibition. The exhibition has been an extraordinary success, and was extended twice due to popular demand.

The evening was a final opportunity for the lenders and contributors to experience the exhibition before it concludes. The final viewing day of the exhibition is 𝗙𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝟯𝗿𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝗝𝘂𝗹𝘆. Thereafter the works will be returned to their respective collections

Museum Director, Gavin Morris, expressed his sincere appreciation to all involved and used the opportunity to announce the establishment of a 𝗙𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗱𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗔𝗳𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗝𝗲𝘄𝗶𝘀𝗵 𝗠𝘂𝘀𝗲𝘂𝗺 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻. The new association’s goal is to provide support for the museum’s future programming and exhibitions, ensuring culturally significant experiences, such as the 𝙋𝙖𝙡𝙢 𝙎𝙩𝙪𝙙𝙞𝙤𝙨: 𝙒𝙤𝙡𝙛 𝙆𝙞𝙗𝙚𝙡 / 𝙇𝙞𝙥𝙥𝙮 𝙇𝙞𝙥𝙨𝙝𝙞𝙩𝙯, will be offered long into the future.
