Not every image is ready for a giclée print… and that’s okay.

We often get asked if a phone photo or low-resolution file can be turned into a large fine art print. The short answer is: sometimes—but it depends on the image.

Giclée printing is designed for high-detail, high-resolution artwork using archival inks and museum-grade materials. That level of quality means one thing:

👉 The final print can only be as good as the original file.

If the image is too small or heavily compressed, you may see:
• Softness or lack of detail
• Pixelation when printed large
• Color inconsistencies

We’re always happy to print what you provide—but it’s important to understand that lower-quality files won’t produce the same results as a true fine art image.

If you’re unsure, send us your file and we’ll guide you on the best approach—whether that’s adjusting the size, improving the file, or choosing a more suitable print method.
