Andrea Poole: In Study and Reverence now on view at Formato Fine Arts.

Andrea Poole, a local artist with a lifelong commitment to her community, Andrea Poole brings Wytheville into focus. An art teacher in the Wythe county public schools, a 1998 BFA graduate from Radford University.

These works move between studies of nature and echoes of classical painting, carrying a sense of reverence that feels almost otherworldly against contemporary life.

Formato Fine Arts continues its commitment to exhibiting artists from our own backyard alongside voices from across the country. Andrea’s work will be open during the Chautauqua Festival this May 28th - July 8th

I have a hard time balancing my work/art/life balance. When I am inspired - i seize that moment entirely and push all other obligations aside (to my own detriment). Its a tale old as time of an artist being wrapped up in their own creative narcissism.
