Wonder how this piece came out? Attend the Saturday night opening at Roger Tory Peterson Institute in Jamestown 5-7 for the unveiling of many works of plein air art done on location throughout western NY. Lots of artists means lots of approaches! Should be interesting! Public "Wet Paint"Art Show and Sale is 12-5 on Saturday and 10-4 on Sunday. The closing reception and awards is 5-7 on Saturday.

The pics are my very simple set up for painting the portal to my woods on my Portage Hill Art Gallery backyard property. I didn't have to go far, so the garden cart, a simple folding table, acrylic paint in a recycled take out box, brushes, bug sprayed hat, muggy boots from scoping out the scene to paint, and a chair - that was it for this one. I was chasing rain and was sure I would have to run for it before finishing, but nature was good to me and I was done and in before the first rain drops fell (Sunday afternoon and early evening!). I have easels and more elaborate set ups, but this worked for me this time! Easy peasy!
