Museum at the Friends Home Handicapped accessible. Three floors and 25 exhibit rooms are housed in a 1905 Quaker boarding home. Museum closed from mid-Dec. to first Saturday in April.

This fall, walk the streets of historic Waynesville with the Museum at the Friends Home and discover the people, places, legends, and unexplained happenings that have become part of our village story.

Hear tales of former residents, shopkeepers, and townsfolk whose stories have been passed down for generations. Some are rooted firmly in Waynesville history. Others have taken on a life of their own.

Your guide will share these stories in the very places where they happened, blending local history, folklore, ghostly encounters, and a little mystery into an evening through Waynesville after dark. 🌙✨

Reservations are required and each session has limited availability. Reserve your spot at friendshomemuseum.org and discover the stories that still linger along the streets of Waynesville!!

We’re so excited for the Waynesville Street Faire July 11th in Downtown Waynesville! ✨

Spend the day in small town Waynesville, where the shops are open, the restaurants are ready, and Main Street fills with food trucks, local makers, crafters, creators, and vintage curators.

Enjoy live music throughout the day with performances by Noah Back Music and The Victorians 🎤🎵 It all comes together for a day full of charm, discovery, and a little bit of small town magic you can only find here.

Be sure to register for the Waynesville Underground Railroad Tour with the Museum at the Friends Home and take part in a piece of Waynesville’s story while you’re here.
