Posted @withregram • @icee_icom The ICOM ICEE Board is pleased to share the final Programme for our 2020 ICOM ICEE Virtual Conference "Shifting Landscapes: Future Proofing Museums in Times of Change" to be held next week, from November 17-20 via Zoom. The 2020 ICEE Virtual conference is organized in collaboration with @muac_unam @inahmx and @mnantropologia , all located in Mexico City.

Registration for each conference day is separate, so download the programme (link in bio) navigate the complete four-day schedule, then register for the sessions you would like to attend. Registration links included in the programme.

On Friday 20, join us to the ICOM International Committees FORUM in collaboration with @icom_lac (Session in Spanish)

Join us in celebration of National Native American Heritage Month. During the month of November 2020, the United States Army Heritage and Education Center (USAHEC) will feature a collection of photos with the theme “Interwoven Histories: National Native American Heritage Month – Photos from the Collections of the U.S. Army and Heritage Education Center.” These photographs and a display of artifacts will be showcased in the Hall of the American Soldiers at the USAHEC. A digital display of these photographs will also be available to view on the USAHEC’s website starting November 1st (https://ahec.armywarcollege.edu/exhibits/nahm).

National Native American Heritage Month invites all of us to learn, explore, and experience the amazing history, culture, and diversity of the tribes and the individuals who were here from the beginning, and still live here today. November is a time to recognize the many sacrifices, contributions, and achievements of Native American people, as well as to celebrate their rich and vibrant cultures.

It is an exhibition of Commemorative Civil War Era Sculpture. The key pieces displayed include: The Standing Lincoln by Augustus Saint-Gaudens, marble busts of Generals McClellan and Grant, a magnificent bronze American Eagle and several Rogers Groups statuettes. The 2020 ICOM ICEE Annual Conference Goes Virtual on 17-19 November!

For the health and safety of our members, colleagues, and local partners, the Board of the International Committee for Exhibition Exchange had decided to cancel all in-person activities planned for the 2020 Annual Conference in Mexico City, Mexico. For the first time, the ICEE Conference will be held live online, from Tuesday, November 17 to Thursday, November 19, in partnership with Instituto Nacional de Antropología e Historia, Museo Nacional de Antropología, and MUAC Museo Universitario Arte Contemporáneo

The virtual conference will feature three days of keynote speeches, panel sessions, networking opportunities, and virtual visits to some of the finest cultural and science institutions in Mexico and around the world. Participants will be able to interact in real time with speakers or catch up later with on-demand access. Registration will open the week of November 2

The conference theme, Shifting Landscapes: Future Proofing Museums in Times of Change, addresses and analyses how cultural landscapes – locally, regionally, nationally and globally – are shifting and adapting to an unprecedented period of change around the world. We invite colleagues from all over the world to join us in exploring Shifting Landscapes: Future Proofing Museums in Times of Change through subthemes of: Connect, Engage and The Future.
