My interest started early in Rescue work and led to Civil Defense later in life. I enjoy preserving the history and artifacts of the US Civil Defense.

Well, making a progress the floor is in. It’s great. I’ve moved about 1/5 of my collection to the center of the floor. The electricians coming in next week the AC and heating guy is coming in after that then I’ll be putting wallboard up and I have already got the lights up. I came up on two display cases that the base were in bad shape so I rebuilt the bases got them painted today so I’ll have at least two showcases to start off with !! Won’t be long.

Finally the day is here, the floor being poured in the CD Building! It’s actually happening!!!!

However is was able to snag an Original FCDA Wool Blanket for a decent price and look forward to using it in a CD Medical Display.................Coming to a CD Building soon........

So the concrete man is coming to lay the concrete on the 28th, shortly thereafter, electricity, and HVAC will be installed. I am packing stuff, loading crates, and loading my shelves to be able to move in. I've also received a few interesting new items that we will have to show you. Hopefully shortly after we move in, we will have our first civil defense blog, looking forward to it.!
