At Petit Polka, we’re drawn to art that feels joyful, human, and full of heart, and Alexander Girard embodies all of that. Born in 1907, Girard transformed modern design with bold color, symbolism, and emotional warmth.

The heart appears again and again in his work. Little Red Heart is playful and sincere, while International Love Wall Relief reflects his love of global culture and shared humanity, celebrating love as something that connects us all. These two pieces feel especially at home here, where we believe art should be expressive, approachable, and deeply personal.
