Join us for Poetry in the Palazzo next Saturday, September 12! This event invites established poets and novices alike to enjoy an evening of poetry (and music!) in the Vacaville Museum’s courtyard. Featured poet, Katy Brown will share numerous works exploring place and identity. Attendees are encouraged to participate in the open mic portion of the evening! On Saturday, 8/29/26, a small group of museum supporters had the wonderful opportunity to spend the day with artist and photographer Katrin Auch for a hands-on photography workshop!

Participants explored angles, focus, lighting, and composition while diving into a fantastical storytelling photoshoot. Katrin encouraged each photographer to make the scene their own, following the stories, details, and perspectives that caught their eye.

After the shoot, the group spent the afternoon learning post-production and editing techniques with Katrin, discovering how thoughtful edits can bring an image, and the story behind it, even further to life.

Jetta was deeply involved in the Vacaville community. She was an honorary member of the Saturday Club, a member of the Vacaville Museum, and a longtime member and past president of the Vacaville Museum Guild.💛
