Our 1995 Ferrari F50 has been in our Marconi Museum Race Shop for its major service, giving guests an up-close look at one of the most fascinating processes in Ferrari maintenance.
Introduced in 1995, the Ferrari F50 was created to celebrate Ferrari’s 50th anniversary and remains one of the most raw, analog, and motorsport-inspired supercars ever built. With only 349 examples produced, the F50 was designed to bring the feeling of a Formula 1 car to the road, featuring a naturally aspirated 4.7-liter V12 derived from Ferrari’s 1990 Formula 1 program, a gated 6-speed manual transmission, and a carbon fiber chassis built around pure driver connection.
Unlike many modern supercars, the F50 is a deeply mechanical machine. Its engine is not just hidden beneath a cover, it is a structural part of the car itself. Because of that, a major service is far more involved than a routine maintenance job. The car must be carefully disassembled, separated, and opened up in a way most enthusiasts will never get the chance to witness in person.
