Abstraction built layer by layer.

Working with monotype gel printmaking & chine colle, Linda Brooks creates abstract compositions that explore tension, balance, and structural rhythm.
Blending influences from science and art, Linda creates layered abstractions that explore the interplay of organic and geometric forms. Soft transitions which play in her botanical work contrast the strength of her small yet powerful abstracts.

Her work was recently sold & featured in our 2026 All Media Juried Exhibition, Fleur-ish!

A selection of Linda’s abstract works is currently available through Chemers Gallery and online viewing.

Hand-built and no 2 alike!

Joey Ontiveros’ newest ceramics highlight his dedication to the handmade coil process. Shaped entirely by hand, every curve, angle, and silhouette reflects his intuitive approach, while layered glazes add depth and character. Joey’s vessels range from 8” to a majestic 22” tall!

Each work becomes its own exploration of form and surface, continuing his evolving study of the clay’s character.

Visit Chemers Gallery to see more of Joey’s work.

A breath of fresh air..

Ruth Lundring’s abstract paintings are an invitation to slow down. Through flowing forms, layered color, and intuitive mark-making, Ruth creates soothing compositions inspired by the movement and balance found in nature.

Originally from Norway and now working from her studio in Orange, California, Ruth is an emerging artist whose work blends playfulness with quiet contemplation. Her large-scale acrylic and oil paintings encourage viewers to reflect and discover their own emotional connection within each painting.

Ruth participated in our last juried show, “Fleur-ish” where her painting sold before the exhibition opened!

Where whimsy meets the absurd.

Known for his iconic illustrations for “A Series of Unfortunate Events” books, Brett Helquist brings Lemony Snicket’s world to life through intricate graphite drawings filled with charm, mystery, and just a touch of mischief.

Two collectors welcomed both a full-page illustration and a chapter-opening drawing into their collections. Such a testament to the enduring appeal of Brett’s imaginative storytelling on paper.

Visit Chemers Gallery online or in person to discover more of his original artwork.
