We hope you had an excellent 250th 4th of July!

This Wednesday we will be celebrating America’s 250th birthday by joining in on a nationwide reading of the Declaration of Independence.

Join us at the North Tunbridge Church (across from the North Tunbridge store) at 6:15 for a reading, music, and light food.

October 10 - VT Covered Bridge Society, 9am - 3pm, Town Hall, we’re providing lunch.

Here is a schedule for our events for May through October 2026. Contact us if you can volunteer for any event.

May 9 - Family Search Fair at the Latter Day Saints Church 9am - 3pm, hosts needed to sit, talk and answer questions at our exhibit, free lunch, speakers

May 25 Memorial Day
9am - 12:30pm - selling raffle tickets Folk Life books in front of the creche
10:30am Town Hall program
11am parade Revolutionary War costumes, people needed in costume to walk
11:30am cemetery program

June 6 - Ranger aid station 9am - 3pm, at the school

June 7 - bus tour 1pm meet at the school, topic TBD

June 28 - cleaning the Historical Society and scraping and painting shutters, 9am - until done, drinks provided, snacks needed, Baptist Church

July 6 - 10 - Landgoes Farm on Moody Road off Strafford Road, 9am - noon, Revolutionary War encampment with fire making, cooking, candlemaking, etc., for youngsters

July 8 - Declaration of Independence reading at the Baptist Church, ringing of bell

July 11 - Flea Market - we have a booth, 6:30am - 2pm on the Parish House lawn, people needed to help, rain or shine so a tent would be nice if anyone has one

July 14 - 6:30pm ice cream social, 7:30pm Tunbridge Speaks - topic is Revolutionary War veterans, on the Parish House lawn and Tunbridge Church

August 8 - restoring the Hunt Cemetery with VOCA help and teaching, 7:45am - noon, luncheon and snacks provided

August 16 - 5pm potluck, 6pm meeting, Grange and Baptist Church

September 17, 18, 19, 20 - World's Fair 9am - 6 or 7 pm, selling Folk Life books and raffle tickets

October 18 - Ghost Walk at the Meetinghouse Cemetery, 1pm, Recreation Road, parking limited so carpooling is a must

October 23, 24 - Haunted Trail at Landgoes Farm on Moody Road off Strafford Road, selling raffle tickets, Folk Life books and goodies
