I work in oils, acrylics and watercolor to illustrate and reflect my feelings about the places I visit in my travels. I really enjoy lush color and I use a great deal of it in my work. I do photography as well and use various digital means to enhance the images and give them a painterly quality, adding texture and varying colors and values. Sometimes I then hand paint into these digital images as

well. I create fused glass panels, jewelry and usable art. I love the reflective qualities and and transparency of glass and the way I can layer it as I do with paint. if you go to my website (www.lynnpass.com) you will see my work. When people move house, they make a hierarchy without realizing it.

Some things get donated, some get stored, some make the journey regardless of whether they make logical sense in the new space.

Art almost always travels. It is rarely the practical choice that moves with you. It is the things that meant something. Has that been true for you?

What have you moved more than once, and would "Whirlpool Galaxy with Tree" make that list?

People sometimes feel they need to be able to articulate why they want a particular work before they are allowed to buy it. That is not how it works.

The attraction does not need a defense. You do not have to be able to explain Lunar Reflections to someone who asks; you just have to know it belongs in your space.

The explanation, if you want one, tends to arrive later on its own.

Every work that reaches a collector is the result of many decisions, including the decision not to show what came before it.

The finished work is not the whole story. It is the end of a longer, quieter process that most collectors never see.

When you live with Dwarf Fireweed Rosy Petals, you are living with the result of the artistic process and all that comes with it.

I just finished creating this piece, Vesper Bloom, Eagle and Rose. I had it printed on brushed aluminum for the gallery I'm in here in Tucson. But it can be ordered from my website too and printed on paper, metal, acrylic, it can be matted, framed, MANY options. The image is of the Eagle Nebula, one of my favorites to image with my telescope. I've combined it with beautiful roses in bloom and I've allowed the stars within the nebula to shine through.

If you’re in Tucson, a large brushed aluminum print of this will be up on my wall at the Southern Arizona Arts Guild Gallery this week! Come by to see lots of beautiful and varied art!
