HERITAGE & HARMONY: GLOBAL WOMEN OF DISTINCTION
International Artists Join the Javacya Elite Chamber Orchestra for a Landmark Concert in Tallahassee
TALLAHASSEE, FL — On April 23, 2026, the Javacya Elite Chamber Orchestra will present Heritage & Harmony: Global Women of Distinction, a powerful celebration of women whose artistry continues to shape the world of classical music. The concert will take place at St. Peter’s Anglican Cathedral at 7:00 PM.
This extraordinary event features three internationally acclaimed artists:
Dr. Marcia Porter, soprano
Kinga Augustyn, rising international violin star
Dr. Noel Wan, harpist and faculty member at both Florida State University and the prestigious Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia
Together with the Javacya Elite Chamber Orchestra, these artists will present a program that highlights cultural heritage, virtuosity, and the global influence of women in classical music.
“Heritage & Harmony is more than a concert—it is a celebration of artistic excellence and the cultural legacy of women whose contributions continue to inspire new generations,” said Dr. Patrice Floyd, Founder and Artistic Director of Javacya Arts Conservatory.
The program includes works by Vivaldi, Debussy, Massenet, Fauré, Strauss, Gershwin, and traditional spirituals arranged for orchestra.
Proceeds support Javacya Arts Conservatory’s music education programs and community cultural initiatives.

I am holding a benefit for www.start-the-ripple.com, our non-profit that built a primary school in a Ugandan village without electricity or plumbing. It serves 165 students, teaching and feeding them, that walk to school each day, sometimes for miles. It's at Jan's Gallery, 615-4 Railroad Square Art Park. Fri. Oct. 31, 6 pm!
