Spent Friday printing the first layer on Prairie Fire, my newest reduction woodcut. This one is going to be a challenge, but hopefully worth it!

Great River Press is open today until 4pm. We will be closed tomorrow 8/30 and Friday 9/4. We reopen Saturday 9/5 through Labor Day Monday!

I spent the rainy day yesterday printing cards. They should be dry, packaged and available in the shop in Stockholm, WI next weekend!

I’m working on *gasp* Halloween cards and *double-gasp* Christmas cards today at the studio. I know, I know, “It’s August 1st!” you say, “isn’t that a little early?” Well, it might seem like it but, with drying time, it takes a couple weeks to complete a new batch of cards and I already have galleries asking for holiday products… so here we are! Christmas in, er…um…August!?!

Great River Press is open today until 4pm and tomorrow from 11am - 4pm.

Thank you to everyone who came to the Grand Opening of Great River Press this past Saturday. I’m honored to have such dedicated and loyal supporters!

We’d like to extend a special thank you to all the friends and family who helped us on that day and in the months preceding. We are so thankful for you all!

If you weren’t able to make it to the Grand Opening we hope you will swing by during our regular open hours: Friday - Sunday from 11am to 4pm. And if you came by last Saturday, we hope to see you again soon!

I’m working on my first woodcut in the new studio. It feels good to get back to it! See the process in person at Great River Press in Stockholm, WI. We are open today and Sunday from 11am to 4pm. Tomorrow (Saturday) is our Great River Press GRAND OPENING Celebration from 11am to 6pm. It’s gonna be a hot one, but this old building has a pretty productive A/C system so we can keep you cool while you check out the new space!

The gallery is hung and ready for the Great River Press GRAND OPENING this Saturday! Other than my Luna show a few years ago, this is the first time I’ve had proper wall tags in my studio… tags that are actually on the wall… instead of just slipped in the corner of the frames in anticipation of the next art fair. It may be a small thing, but it makes me feel settled, like this is my studio’s forever home!

If you cannot make it to the Grand Opening this Saturday, 11am to 6pm, my regular open hours are: Friday - Sunday 11am to 4pm. Hope to see you soon!

The Stockholm Art Fair is tomorrow (Saturday, July 18th)! Our little town is going to be hopping with art, artists and art lovers! I will have a booth in the fair and my partner will keep Great River Press open as well!

So after you swing on down to visit me and all the other artists in the park, be sure to wander up across the tracks to visit all the unique galleries and shops, grab a bite and enjoy all that this quirky, artsy town has to offer!
