TONIGHT!

Join Alix and TJC for our closing exhibition free yoga session starting at 5:45 PM. This event is a first come first served practice open to all levels. Please bring your own mat and props.

Alix has many poses in honor our exhibition in store for tonight, including gate pose in front of our Valerie Jaudon's "Lucien." It won't be one to miss!

There is one week left to view the fan favorite show, "Yellow." We have loved seeing all of our visitors embrace the show and have collected some of TJC's favorite moments from the exhibition. "Yellow" will close next Saturday, October 17th.

TJC Gallery will be closed from October 18th to October 27th as we install our next exhibition: "Memento Mori."

Come in Wednesday through Saturday (with two final events next week!) to catch "Yellow" one last time.

Next Thursday!

Can the same yellow appear golden, pale, or almost green? Join us at TJC Gallery for a lively introduction to Josef Albers’ Interaction of Color, explored through yellow. Through simple color demonstrations and close looking at artwork, participants will discover how surrounding colors influence what we see. This interactive program invites visitors to experiment, question their first impressions, and experience yellow in a new way. No art background is necessary.

This event will take place during ArtWalk from 5-8 PM. A lecture about Josef Albers background will take place at 6:30 PM, and the workshop experimentation will be available throughout the evening.

Next Monday!

Join TJC and Alix Refshauge (RYT-500) at TJC Gallery for our "Yellow" exhibition closing FREE practice. This is a first come, first served event, and sign up on Meetup is encouraged. Please bring your own mat and props. This is an all levels practice, so if you have been meaning to try yoga in a no stakes environment, this is the event for you!

A note, Tuesday October 13th will be our last Tranquil Tuesday practice in the gallery until November 3rd. Alix will notify the class for an alternate location during these two weeks.

What is happening at TJC Gallery this month?

• Yellow closes this month on October 17th. TJC Gallery will be closed for reinstall from October 18-28. No 9 AM Tranquil Tuesdays on October 20 and 27.

• TJC’s next exhibition: Memento Mori opens on October 28th, more details soon!

• FREE Yoga Evening on October 12th at 5:45 PM– A First Come, First Served practice, Sign Up on Meetup encouraged.

• Artwalk on October 15, 5-8 PM: Interaction of Yellow: A Josef Albers Workshop led by Sarah Tignor

• Halloween: Come into the Gallery on Saturday the 31st from 12-4, (with your costume) to decorate skull and gravestone cookies to take home. Sweet treats for the whole family!

ArtWalk is a free, self-guided tour of Spartanburg’s museums and galleries, held on the third Thursday of each month from 5–8 p.m. Participating venues offer rotating exhibitions, gallery openings, programs, and light refreshments, with programming changing monthly to complement featured exhibitions.
