A 501 (c) (3) organization dedicated to the preservation and restoration of antique engines and tractors. Located on over 80 acres near the coastline of Lake Michigan, the museum offers visitors a chance to step back in time and learn about our farming history that was so important in the development of our country. Exhibits include a sawmill, shinglemill and Olde Town area with a working blacksmi

th shop, old jail, farm machinery repair business, log cabin and The Barnyard - an unique children's play area. Also on site is a 136 year old post and beam constructed barn which is used for programs and events, the Wooden Nickel gift shop and our latest project - the Black River Railroad. Open May through September for self-guided tours. Admission is charged during special events like the Swap Meet/Flea Market fundraiser in June and our annual Antique Engine and Tractor Show in September.

If it wasn't for the last minute nothing would get done. Working getting set up for our September 10th through the 13th antique Engine and Tractor Show at the Michigan Flywheelers Museum located in South Haven, Michigan.
Today's projects included a lot of mowing, cleaning and working on the Black River railroad. We have about 350 ft of rail to lay and one turnout to complete the loop. The railroad we hope to have operational next year.

*update* The museum has had to change the route due to multiple issues with going down town and the agencies involved...

*update* The museum has had to change the route due to multiple issues with going down town and the agencies involved. We have tried coming up with alternative routes going in to South Haven but none worked. Changing the route in to the country is so we can continue the tradition of the tractor cruise. We may be able to change back to down town in the future as we are trying to resolve the issues.

We are excited to have a new route this year for the tractor cruise on September 10th. The cruise destination is Lake Arvesta Farms. Please line up at the museum entrance at 4pm. We will leave at 4:30. All tractors must have a slow moving sign, be able to maintain 10 mph and have a full tank of gas.

SOUTH HAVEN, MICHIGAN - Our 43rd annual show buttons and dash plaques are here! Pick up your collectibles at the Wooden Nickel Gift Shop where you can also find official show t-shirts and Flywheeler souvenirs. Exhibitors: Be sure to ask for your free dash plaque when registering your tractors or hit-and-miss engines!
Along with hundreds of antique farm machinery, the Antique Engine and Tractor Show which starts Thursday, Sept. 10 and runs through Sunday, Sept. 13, 2026, features daily entertainment, a large outdoor flea market, antique tractor pulls, kids activities and more. Admission is $10 per person with children 12 and under free. Admission specials include Senior Citizen Day on Thursday with admission reduced to $5 for 62 and older, and the Sunday Special when admission is $5 for everyone. Gates open at 8 a.m.

The Track Crew put down about 200' of ties and fastened one side of the rail including two turnouts installed. Had equipment problems so next time we will gauge the track and fasten the other rail down. Also Greg has 12 of our flywheel engines running, worked on Bob's Workshop, installed a new injector on the 902 engine, mowed and started getting ready for our September 10th through the 13th annual Antique Engine and Tractor Show. A special thanks to our lunch crew.
