Adults say the darndest things.

I spent 2 days this week repainting my mural at our shop in the gorgeous Pike Place Market and I got to hear some really wonderful and some really weird things.

I absolutely love meeting new people and talking about art, especially kids that are excited to see a grown up being creative. Then there are some comments that throw me for a loop.

Artists, what is the weirdest thing someone has ever said to you while you were working?

About a month ago, King 5's New Day Northwest invited us to showcase our Craft Bar. I was so excited, but super nervous (and sweaty). Thankfully, our fabulous Magnolia shop manager, Leah came with me (it was a surprise that she wasn't going to be on camera with me).

Kelly Hanson and the producer Suzie, made me feel at ease. It was so fun crafting on air and sharing about the shop and our Craft Bar.

After filming I kept worrying that I missed something or messed something up. When we got back to the shop, so many people came by to tell us that they saw us on the news and were so inspired to come craft. It made my heart so happy. 

It was such an honor and great experience to go on New Day NW. Can't wait to go back and showcase another art project. Huge thanks to Kelly, Suzie, and New Day NW!
