Fantastic essays from SMCISD students who wrote about their favorite Black author. Big shout out to Dr. C. Hines, Dr. C. Ramey, Dr. D. Williams, and Dr. C. Nichols for that interactive, dynamic presentation on Afrofuturism, and T. Johnson, what a beautiful and moving dance piece. Thank you to D. Carter from San Marcos Public Library for bringing great books for us to browse, and thank you San Marcos Baha'is for donating gift cards for prizes. Thank you John Clark for great photos. Thank you to SMCISD educators Dr. T. Sanders, and teachers C. White and T. Harris. And, Thank you parents for bringing your brilliant children to this event!
