Today we bid farewell to the last group of the 2026 Sommer Earn and Learn Workforce Solutions Alamo SEAL Team members. What an outstanding group of young people we had the pleasure of knowing, teaching, and working with. They did everything from cleaning displays, replacing vehicle electrical door locks to working on real airplanes. We hope to see them again next summer. Have a wonderful time in your next adventure guys! Know that all of you did a wonderful job and will be deeply missed.

Our museum’s D**e Delta JD-2 has come along way from its road trip of Payson Arizona, Roswell New Mexico, to display in San Antonio. We need to finish up a few more things on her for her official debut!

Day 5 - D**e JD-2 Delta static display. Today our Workforce Solutions Alamo SEAL Team members moved and assembled the Delta into its permanent display location between our F-4 and the UH-34. Next we will make support stands for it. It's been a great joy to see the Delta make an incredible journey from Arizona to become our latest addition to the museum's aircraft collection. This airplane will be the only one of its kind on display at a museum.

We also want to let you know that these projects couldn't be done without the super work from these young gentlemen. They age from 16 to 19, and for some, this is their very first employment!
