RIP to a local legend.

We at HomeTown Rocks are saddened to hear of the passing of Revere's own Frederick Anthony Picariello, Jr., known professionally as pop star Freddy "Boom Boom" Cannon.
Born: Dec 4, 1936 Died: July 17, 2026 (89 years)
Freddy sang on tons of national hit records and appeared numerous times on Dick Clark's American Bandstand. He is prominently featured at our exhibit.
We'd like to say that we got to know him a little bit over the last year and a half through our Revere rock and roll history research.
Rest in Peace Freddy.

Reminder that this opens tonight and will be open through the weekend!!!

Tonight the museum opens at 6:30, Friday the 17th the museum will be open 4 to 7, and Saturday and Sunday from 10 to 2.

On Saturday June 13th the museum will host local historian and author Steve Wilk and his new presentation on one of the most unique attractions in Revere Beach history: To Mars in the Airship!!

The museum will be open for tours from 10-12 and the presentation will begin at 1, after which Steve will be available to sign copies of his new book: Mystery Ship, the Long Strange Odyssey of Submarine S-49.

Revere history buffs will not want to miss this!!
