SUBMISSIONS ARE OPEN NOW until March 27th for our next show Something Old, Something New!!! LINK IN BIO!!!!

Something Old, Something New is a show that focuses on Nostalgia and acknowledging how far you’ve come as an artist. We encourage students to submit art from their past alongside art they’ve made recently to visually show their progress. All past art works are considered, from childhood drawings to freshman studio and beyond.

The show is APRIL 3RD from 6-11pm!!!!!

Reflections of Us was a night to remember! Our featured artists created some truly incredible pieces inspired by the human form and experience! We also loved seeing all the art being created at the show with our CD scratch art workshop, Portrait making stations, and Photo Booth room! Thank you so much to our artists, especially those who stayed through out the show and interacted with the public over your art, it was such a treat to see everyone sharing their unique processes and experiences! It was an incredible night of community building and fun!

Thank you also to the sophomore artists of MADtech for exhibiting their mask collection! Each piece was a unique and insight into each person’s individual culture and their creative interpretation of it.

Work in Progress submission are open until THIS FRIDAY! Artists will be showcasing the process of making art, the steps that so often go unseen, and celebrating them this First Friday, March 6!
We are accepting a variety of pieces, so don’t be shy! Submit your own WIPs or finished works along with physical representations of their progress. Tools, materials, sketches, patterns, etc. are all welcome in this exhibition! We are also accepting sketchbooks to showcase the diversity in creative and design processes! If you have any pieces you have wanted to submit but maybe haven’t been about to fit into the theme of our other shows, THIS is the one to submit to! We can’t wait to see what incredible pieces we get this show!

Fish Market’s FINAL and most ANTICIPATED Sit and Sketch is THIS FRIDAY! Fish Market Gallery is collaborating with the incredibly wonderful and talented members of the to bring you cosplay figure drawing! Free sketchbooks, a free workshop, and an opportunity to capture your favorite characters in real life! An event like this is a rare opportunity so we hope you don’t miss out! Get here early for a good seat and supplies while they last! See you soon!

The incredible Sit and Sketch workshops on campus have been such a treat for us to host! We love seeing the creativity students from all over campus have brung! We are looking forward to our final one before the big Work in Progress show!
This upcoming show will be featuring a collection of sketchbooks from a variety of artists and designers from campus. We hope some of our workshops have inspired you all to submit! Whether old or new, partially filled or completely full, all sketchbook submissions are welcome! Link for submissions in our bio!
The last Sit and Sketch will be hosted Friday, February 20th! Join us and the Cosplay club as we sketch some of our favorite characters live on a cosplay figure drawing Sit and Sketch!

As always, we will be hosting this event in Leazar hall, Room 310, from 4:30 to 6:00!

We hope to see some returning faces along with new ones! See you soon!

Sit and Sketch number 3 is open to all NCSU students, this Friday, February 20th! Join us once again or for our community building hour of sketching and art making! Supplies and space will be provided, but feel free to bring any supplies you’d like to crest with! Bring your friends or make new ones while expressing some of your wackiest fashion statements through collage! Free sketchbooks will be available to those without one - while supplies last! We can’t wait to see you all again!

NCSU! Come join Fish Market Gallery this Friday at Leazar hall for a chill afternoon of sketching and community building! Participants will have the chance to learn about upcoming opportunities in the next fish market show. Everyone is welcome and we hope to see you soon!

Free sketchbooks are available for those who didn’t get one last time! Also a pretty good Valentine’s Day gift you could customize for free 😘

THIS FRIDAY 4:30-6:00! Fish Market Student Gallery will be hosting a sketching workshop in Leazar Hall Room 310 for NCSU students of all majors! We will be providing free sketchbooks and a studio space for all to enjoy! This will be the first of several sketchbook nights to come, but we encourage you to come as early as possible while our best supplies is available!
We will provided stickers and collage supplies for everyone to customize their own sketchbook covers, however this activity is completely optional! This is dedicated time for everyone to freely sketch or create whatever ever they wish in a welcoming environment!

“The MVMT and Fish Market Student Gallery are excited to be hosting a craft night with all our friends in the women’s center, LGBTQ+ center, and multicultural center! This Friday the 23rd, meet us at Leazar Hall in room 310 with an excitement to create and nothing else! We will be providing supplies for collage and the studio space, so all you will need to bring is your lovely selves. Together we will create pieces under the general theme of survivorship. If you prefer to work in other mediums such as painting, drawing, photography, etc, all are welcome but you must bring your own supplies!
This space will be available from 4:30-7:00 PM! We hope to see you there!

Take a break from the stress of exams and the Holiday season! Join Fish Market Gallery for crafts, board games, interactive activities, and winter treats! All free admission for the whole family! Come make treasured memories with your loved ones and bring a little part of your experience home with you! We are planning a party to remember, but best to come early, as supplies for crafts are limited!

Parking is a short walk through the First Friday booths and musical event and straight to Fish Market. The first two hours of parking are free ❤️

Fish Market is located down a single set of concrete steps, if you or a member of your party are in need of accessibility accommodation, please contact us through our email [email protected] and we will be happy to assist you! You can also have one of your party members ask for help at the event and we will be happy to assist you :)

Fish Market Gallery is an NC state student run non profit organization, so any kind of participation and admission is completely free, but donations are highly appreciated 🫶
