A BIG thank you to ACP Arts for the Elvis Reed Spirit of New Jeru Award!

The award recognizes contributions to the community, often during events like National Poetry Month, celebrating artists and community members who foster creative voices.

Thank you again ACP Arts Ink, Mike and Chris for the recognition!

A perfect example on why we don’t use bubble wrap directly on art.

This photo was taken from a FB piano page and illustrates the possible impact of the bubble wrap pattern transferring to a surface due to temperature change and pressure.

This happened on a Steinway. Don’t let it happen to your framed art.

Depending on the art, we initially wrap framed works in foam wrap, a plastic bag, or glassine then brown paper (paper is abrasive on lacquer finishes).

Rahway River Watershed Association

Rahway, New Jersey 07065

Rahway River Watershed Association and Atelier Rosal warmly invite artists to participate in a special exhibition celebrating the beauty and ecological importance of New Jersey’s native flora and fauna.

This exhibit is part of the Watershed Association’s 35th Anniversary Celebration, honoring decades of environmental stewardship and community engagement. The Opening Reception on June 6 will kick off a week of celebration leading to the June 13 ribbon-cutting of RRWA’s newly expanded native plant garden.

New Jersey is home to nearly 2,000 native plant species — a reflection of our state’s remarkable geographic diversity. These plants form the foundation of thriving ecosystems, supporting birds, butterflies, pollinators, and wildlife of all kinds. Yet habitat loss, urbanization, and invasive species continue to threaten this natural heritage.
Through your art, help us celebrate — and elevate — the native plants and wildlife that make New Jersey extraordinary.

Exhibition Guidelines
• All wall-mounted mediums are welcome.
• Maximum size: 20” x 24”
• Work must be framed, wired, and ready to hang.
• Preference will be given to artwork featuring New Jersey native flora and fauna.
• Exhibition location: RRWA Watershed Learning Center
337 East Milton Avenue, Rahway, NJ 07065

One of our clients, who is an avid art collector, also enjoys framing her son’s work.

This is a painted cardboard assembly that has some incredible character from a 6(?) year old!

We mounted it on textured black mat board to contrast the scabrous character of the work. To accommodate the near 4” height of the piece, we extended the top shadow box frame, making it 2” deeper. The piece was finished with museum glass to optimize clarity and minimize glare.

Motherwell meets Calder is how we see it!

Below is an example of a mounting method for original art that could potentially damage the work. This type of securing pattern won’t allow the paper to shrink and expand. The work will eventually buckle and wave. It can also potentially damage the work if it ever needs to be removed.

This work was framed recently, so make sure the framer you work with is almost as competent as we are. Lol

We will be opening a little late today due to a minor injury.

All is good! We’ll get through it…
