Located in Pulaski, Virginia This honor was designated by the Virginia Historic Landmarks Commission.

Incorporated in 1978 as 501 (c) (3) non-profit corporation in Pulaski, Virginia, the Center was initially located in the Fairview Home, which was a 1928 Alms House located across from Pulaski County High School. In 1982 the Center moved to its present location, the former Cato's, a women's clothing store. Considered a prim example of Victorian commercial architecture, the brick two-story building was built in 1898 and is part of the Downtown Historic Landmark District. The Fine Arts Center was created out of a need to augment the arts education offered in the school system and to provide a vehicle for the arts presentation to residents of the New River Vally. In its more than thirty years of operation, the Fine Arts Center has touched the lives of approximately 500,000 patrons by way of visits to the gallery, classes, performances, and special events. The Center has hosted a combination of 4,100 classes or programs (visual or performing arts) involving 15,000 artists.

Our next First Friday concert is less than two weeks away!

Join us Friday, November 6, for an evening with Sula’s Front Porch as our First Friday Listening Room Concert Series continues in the Fine Arts Center’s Edna B. Love Gallery.

The award-winning duo of Aran Garnett-Deakin and Tim Thornton brings together lively fiddle tunes, old-time songs, traditional ballads, and thoughtful interpretations of music by songwriters such as Kate Wolf, Townes Van Zandt, and Sierra Ferrell.

Aran is an old-time fiddler and classical violinist who also plays banjo, guitar, and mandolin. Tim adds guitar, dulcimer, banjo, mandolin, and banjo mandolin to the mix, and both lend their voices to the duo’s sound.

🎨 Our Next Exhibition Opens This Coming Friday!

Join us on October 16th for the opening reception of Unmoored – Untethered, an exhibition by Edward Coe that explores the aftermath of traumatic brain injury through photography, capturing both the quiet devastation of losing one's identity and the profound, deliberate joy of building a new one from the salvage. Experimental, kinematic transparency prints breathe and shift against the wall—their cast shadows slipping in and out of sharp focus to mirror the frustration of reaching for a vibrant but blurry past. These contrast with conventional large-format prints and sweeping panoramas, which remind us how a single strong memory can serve as a secure anchor.

Drawing on photographs both revisited and newly created, Edward Coe offers a visual diary of rediscovery, guided by the echoes of his past and the possibilities of the present.

We invite you to meet the artist and experience this deeply personal exhibition at the Fine Arts Center’s Edna B. Love Gallery, 21 West Main Street in Pulaski.

Our October Kids' Creative Club is this Saturday! This month we will be exploring Picasso style art.

What will your Picasso look like? Roll the dice and find out!

Each roll will help kids choose a feature to draw, from the shape of a face to its eyes, nose, and mouth. They’ll put the pieces together to create a playful, Picasso-inspired portrait. No two faces will turn out alike!

Kids’ Creative Club is a FREE event that meets once a month at our Pulaski location at 21 West Main Street. It is designed to give children an inspiring space to explore art and imagination.

The October Creative Club will be held this Saturday, October 10, 2026. The program begins at 10:30 am and usually lasts about 90 minutes.

A huge congratulations to Olivia Hull, winner of the Menagerie 2026 People’s Choice Award! Olivia’s piece, "Changes," received the most votes from visitors and earned this year’s $100 award. We’re so excited to celebrate Olivia and the work she shared with us!

Ernie Ross’s piece, "The Frog and the Skull," received the second most votes. Three works tied for the third most votes: "A Collarless Vista" by Blake Bauer, "Bobb-bull-Heads" by Olga Goupalova, and "Assessment" by Savannah Leeman. Congratulations to each of these artists as well for their incredible artistic achievements.

Menagerie wrapped up this past Saturday, and what a memorable and special exhibition it was. We’re grateful Olivia and to all of the participating artists for sharing new work created over the past year. You filled the gallery with so much creativity and gave our visitors plenty to discover. Thank you, too, to everyone who came to see the exhibition and cast a vote!
