The kids had a great time at Klondike 2026! We had 10 kids that went, 6 that have never been to a Klondike and 3 that have not went camping with the group. There were learning times and laughing time and team building!! These boys stayed Friday and Saturday night made their own food and had a great weekend, thank you council for making this event fun for all scouts!!

These scout are something else! They planned a flag retirement ceremony for tonight, November 10 so that it wouldn’t interfere with any of the Veterans Day celebrations that some of the other people around town were going to do. Well fast-forward till tonight and with 28° weather, and crazy winds they still put on a flag retirement ceremony and was able to retire one flag and they did it with honor and dignity even through the cold. I’m so proud of Troop 249 and also a shout out to Maddie for playing taps for us tonight!!

The scouts have been busy this summer! Summer camp, flags, long trips, and community services. These kids are awesome.

This is one of the great service project that Troop 249 does for the community, if you would like a flag lets us know and we can set you up. The money for flags also goes for the backpack program that feeds the kids in the elementary school when they are on breaks from school.

5/28 Flags in, when your route Adults can

5/30 OA induction, all scout need to attend to have there vote count.
5/30 Health forms will be coming home to get filled out.

6/1 9:00am Draper Mountain cleanup we need as many scouts as possible and a few adults to help.

6/8 Claytor Lake Festival/food drive, meet at Ranger shack at 3pm in Class A Uniforms

6/13 Flags out for Flag Day

6/18 Flags in

6/20 Health Forms needed so leaders can get them ready for camp
