Yavapai College Art Gallery The Yavapai College Art Gallery in Prescott, Arizona, offers an experience of excellence, diversity, and vitality in fine contemporary visual art.

The gallery features work by Yavapai College art students, art faculty, local artists, and nationally known artists, in approximately eight exhibitions each year. It was chosen as “Best Gallery” in The Daily Courier reader’s choice awards in 2018. The Art Gallery at Yavapai College serves as part of the art instructional program in the college’s division of Arts and Humanities. It occupies a speci

al niche; exposing students to fine contemporary art, allowing them the opportunity to show their own work in a professional manner, and helping them understand the workings of an art gallery. The gallery has been open for over thirty years. We hope to continue to evolve and expand based on our students and the greater Prescott community. The Yavapai College Art Gallery is a welcoming space, interested in inclusivity and an overall appreciation and dialog regarding the Arts. We have a commitment to our students and to the gallery being an educational space. We are also committed to our community and to our opportunity to share and promote the Arts in Prescott and the surrounding areas. We have receptions for each exhibition that coincide with the Prescott Fourth Friday Art Walks, as well as Artist Talks. Stop in and visit us and enjoy the art and community at Yavapai College!

As we prepare for our next exhibit, the Yavapai College Art Gallery will be closed August 3–27.

The gallery has been vacated.

The halls will remain silent while the next exhibition arrives.

Return for the 2026 Art in the Pines Plein Air Painting Demonstration, where 23 artists will create original works throughout the Richard Marcusen Sculpture Garden.

Due to today's rainy weather, Chalk-It-Up: A Live Sidewalk Art Event has been canceled for Friday, July 17, 2026.

We look forward to welcoming everyone back tomorrow! Chalk-It-Up: A Live Sidewalk Art Event is still scheduled for Saturday, July 18, weather permitting.

Join us at the Prescott Film Festival with unforgettable films, special events, and creative experiences at the Jim & Linda Lee Performing Arts Center. From interactive screenings to community art events, there’s something for everyone to enjoy, including an interactive sing-along screening of Mary Poppins, where audiences can join in the fun and celebrate this beloved musical classic.

Chalk-It-Up: A Live Sidewalk Art Event
Classic films become larger-than-life works of art as local artists transform the sidewalks outside the Jim & Linda Lee Performing Arts Center into a colorful celebration of iconic movie moments.

Led by Yavapai College painting instructor and acclaimed muralist Dana Cohn, a talented team of local artists will bring the magic of cinema to life through vibrant chalk creations. Stop by to watch the artwork take shape, meet the artists, snap photos, and experience the creative energy throughout the day.
