💙 Turquoise — pale blue to deep blue-green, with matrix patterning from clean to dramatic spiderweb veining. Natural is top-tier; stabilized (mined stone hardened with resin) is accepted when disclosed. Synthetic has no place in authentic work.

⚫ Onyx — deep, consistent black with a smooth surface. A striking, durable contrast against sterling silver.

Did you know it's a federal crime to sell non-Native-made jewelry as authentic Native American work?

Under the Indian Arts and Crafts Act of 1990, an authentic pendant must be handcrafted by a member of a federally or state-recognized tribe. That law protects you — but only if you know to ask.

Before you buy, always confirm: ✔️ The artist's name or tribal affiliation ✔️ Sterling silver (.925), confirmed by a hallmark ✔️ Whether the stone is natural, stabilized, or treated ✔️ That the seller can speak to the piece's provenance clearly.

Black Arrow Gallery Expands Its Artist Roster

Black Arrow has added four new artists to its collection: Maddison Gore (charcoal), Suzy Amblade Townsend (watercolor), Valeriy Kagounkin (portraiture), and bronze sculptor Heather Johnson Beary — whose recent commission of Sharlot M. Hall now resides at the Sharlot Hall Museum.

The expansion comes as owners Bill and Amy Hoffman enter their third year running the gallery, a period marked by deepening ties to Prescott's community of artists, collectors, and residents.

For the Hoffmans, growing the gallery isn't just about inventory — it's about building a space that supports regional talent and keeps the area's creative economy active.

Black Arrow Gallery in downtown Prescott just added 4 new artists — including sculptor Heather Johnson Beary, whose bronze of Sharlot M. Hall now stands at the Sharlot Hall Museum.

New faces, new work at Black Arrow. 🎨

We're thrilled to welcome four new artists to the gallery:
— Charcoal Western scenes from Maddison Gore
— Watercolor wildlife from Suzy Amblade Townsend
— Heartfelt Plains portraits from Valeriy Kagounkin

We're also now carrying bronze sculpture from local favorite Heather Johnson Beary, who recently completed a sculpture of Sharlot M. Hall for the Sharlot Hall Museum.

Owners Bill and Amy Hoffman are heading into their third year at Black Arrow, and this collection is a reflection of what they've built: a gallery that's as much about community as it is about art.
