After two action-packed weeks on site at the museum's annual archaeological field school, which took place for the second year at The Colonel Paul Wentworth House in Rollinsford, the lab school is now in session back at Strawbery Banke. Museum archaeologist Alix Martin and her project co-director Tad Baker (Salem State University) are working with students to process the thousands of artifacts recovered from the Wentworth House site.

Join us next week for an open house to learn more about the project and see the results of students' research in the lab! Friday, June 26, 10am-noon in the Lawrence J. Yerdon Visitors Center.

Tomorrow night, summer music returns to Strawbery Banke! 🎶 Tuesdays on the Terrace kicks off with Gerard / Truffle for the first concert of the season. Bring a lawn chair or blanket and enjoy live music among the historic houses and gardens. It’s that time of year again! Strawbery Banke is welcoming lots of young historians to the Museum to learn about life at Puddle Dock. Whether it’s being a history detective at the Walsh House, learning about local Black history at the Penhallow-Cousins House, or baking cookies in a hearth cooking workshop, field trip students are immersed in New Hampshire history.
